Create your own mosaic to take home with artist Linda Munoz! Help to create a beautiful large mosaic for the Camp McDowell, also. Note: There is an additional fee of $10 for materials.

Folk art from nature: Add the “A” in STEAM, with several natural art projects that you can create with your students back in the classroom or in your outdoor classroom. Note: There is an additional fee of $10 for materials.

Explore the natural beauty of the Bankhead National Forest and Camp McDowell with Maggie Johnston! Hike into a secluded sandstone canyon off trail. A bit more strenuous than other hikes…come with a sense of adventure!

Field Trip Option: Adventure on the Farm

Get a behind the scenes tour of Camp McDowell’s new farm school! Meet the goats, pigs, chickens and rabbits. See the gardens and greenhouses. Get inspired to learn more about sustainable food production.

Field Trip Option: Salamander Hunt with Jimmy Stiles

Hike across Camp McDowell’s swinging bridge as you go out in search of elusive amphibians!

Field Trip Option: Down to Earth

Hike out across the swinging bridge with the McDowell Environmental Center staff on a geology and conservation hike.
